Golden Grid Forex – That seems pretty simple right?
I heard a lot about the hassles with the standard VPS so from the beginning I decided to go for the Forex-VPS with a pre-installed metatrader. Some companies offer this kind of service for about $70 per month — you just choose the broker you want to trade with and you are all set. That seems pretty simple right?

This idea of simplicity really appealed to me so I decided to purchase it. Well, needless to say I was extremely disappointed. First, it took me over a week to get my account properly setup! In addition their service did not have a platform from the broker I used (I prefer to use new unknown brokers, instead of those huge brokerage firms that are popular because they widen their spreads randomly).
I wanted to trade several accounts at the same time so I had to ask the VPS support to install every new metatrader instance for me. After waiting for several days, the MetaTrader was still unable to begin trading.
When I was finally able to overcome these obstacles and setup the EA (Forex Expert Advisor) for trading, I realized that my old copy had expired and I could not install and activate the new one so I had to contact technical support again. After 4 days of going back and forth with emails from them, they finally updated my EA but messed up my settings! So instead of having the expected safe trading risk factor installed, they installed the huge risk settings (they forgot that I trade the standard 1000 account, not the mini and placed lot size = 2 !!) instead of 0.2 for me!!
Well, that was a lesson that I had to learn the hard way. My entire deposit was wiped out in one single trade because of the wrong settings! I could not blame anyone but myself because I gave complete control of my trades to non-professionals who maybe good at server/network administration, but have no idea about the Forex trading itself and the importance of the proper settings!
